Avebury
not a RoS, but also a filming location Children of the Stones |

| Somewhen while surfing the web I found the DVD 'Children of the Stones' which was, like RoS, also shown in Germany a long, long, long time ago. ;o) I didn't remember much of the story but knew it was interesting back then. So I decided to buy it.
It's a nice mystical story for kids. And somehow I seemed to remember the little girl in it. It took me some hours.... Avebury is south of Swindon and so I suggested to stop there, too. Avebury is a village built in the middle of a stone circle. For me it feels creepy when thinking about building a house (and living) in a stone circle, even when (or maybe because) we don't know what the purpose for the circle is (was). |

| Another thing I found strange: Avebury is far away from any 'bigger' lake, river or even the sea. But we saw many thatched roofs in that area. In Germany you can find such houses just at the coast (as far as I know).
So, if anyone knows about it, please let me know! ;o) |

| After leaving Avebury we were on our way to Swindon.
But this is another story.... |
