It's a Golf course now! ;o)

With a little imagination....do you see the huts, the mud, Edwards cabbage...?
You surely recall this bridge...

Unfortunately we could not get to the other side, unless we would play golf...
Here ends the trip through Wickam but we followed the public footpath further because it was really beautiful to walk along.
After a while we came to a very old bridge. Castle Combe has a long history and lots of old roman heritage.
Castle Combe is a bit like Lacock, no modern facilities but lots of nice old buildings.
I have no idea what that is... probably very old and roman...;o)
Unfortunately there was no sign around explaining what this column is for.
