Bodiam Castle

Huntingdon Castle - Herne's Son

After a rather long drive we arrived at Bodiam Castle not exactly knowing what we were looking for.
We both could not remember when there was an exterior view of Huntingdon Castle at all. So we just went for it and took some pictures. Maybe we find the right view and will remember.

Well,... we found the right position. But we did not notice at first... we really should watch these DVDs more often...
When you get closer to the castle you see that it is actually located in a lake...
... with some 'little' fish. So if you go to Bodiam and forget your food.... ;o)
This is the 'back door' so to speak...
Originally the bridge to the castle was coming from the right to the little 'island' where a guard house used to stand.
